The LDG Houseplant Challenge: Growing More Than Plants
Every office has its own personality. At LDG Accounting Services, ours recently gained a little more green.
What started with one thriving office plant sparked a simple idea: What if everyone on the team had one? Before long, the LDG Greenhouse was born.
Each team member will receive a plant and spend the rest of the year caring for it in their own way. Some may follow all the recommended plant-care advice. Others may experiment with their own techniques. (We even heard that one teammate my use a secret weapon: talking to the plants… will be interesting to see how this plays out!)
Whether it's a plant or a business, meaningful GROWTH takes time.
The goal isn't necessarily to create a competition. It's about having something fun to share, compare, and celebrate together as the months go by. Every now and then, we'll check in on our plants, see how they're progressing, and enjoy watching them evolve over time.
The greenhouse has already sparked conversations and laughter. But perhaps the most interesting part is the reminder it provides. Growth rarely happens overnight.
Whether it's a plant, a business, a team, or a professional goal, meaningful growth often comes from consistent attention over time. A little water. The right environment. Patience. Adjustments when needed.
LDG Accounting Helps Small Businesses Grow
By the end of the year, some plants may be climbing their supports, some may need larger pots, and some may surprise us entirely. And while we'll certainly celebrate the plants, we'll also celebrate the relationships, teamwork, and shared experience that grew along the way. We'll be posting occasional updates throughout the year, so stay tuned to see how the LDG greenhouse grows.
